Our Treatment

At The MendCenter, we are committed to saving lives and empowering individuals to shape their own destinies. Our progressive treatment plan combines therapeutic techniques with art therapy, fostering growth, independence, and confidence. Through movement-based activities, we guide our clients towards a life they choose, where their mental health is nurtured and celebrated.

  • Residential Care

Our belief is that the main driver of therapeutic transformation lies in the structural aspects. This implies that it is closely tied to the organization of one's mind, particularly in relation to spatial configurations. Hence, the state and wholeness of the physical space we occupy directly impact our mental well-being. With this guiding principle, we have revolutionized the conventional approach to residential care. The outcome is a unique and intimate 5 star setting for residents, where exclusivity is not the focus.

  • Day Programs

Traditional intensive outpatient programs, or IOPs, provide treatment services as well as supportive group therapy. The MendCenter’s unique version of the IOP allows us to innovate on a daily basis. This means that daily treatment is highly specialized and individualized. Therefore, there is no such thing as a "treatment curriculum" that lasts 4, 6 or 8 weeks; rather, we engage the patient in meaningful treatment as long as is medically necessary.

  • Individual Therapy

At MendCenter, our clinicians provide individualized treatment for a range of mental health conditions. Our expertise lies in addressing chronic and severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia spectrum disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders like major depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety disorders like obsessive-compulsive disorder. Our approach to treatment includes monitoring for suicidal tendencies and implementing strategies for suicide prevention, alongside medication management when necessary.

  • Psychological Testing

Psychological testing can be employed to answer a variety of diagnostic questions. The MendCenter's approach to psychological testing rests on the assumption that psychological suffering is facilitated, fostered and exacerbated by internal conflicts, unmet needs, negative self-concepts, and other difficulties that operate outside of our awareness. Psychological testing is a method of investigation that allows us the opportunity to shed some light on these areas and provide recommendations for their resolution.

We provide four types of testing: psychological, cognitive, achievement, and comprehensive.

  • Case Management

Mental health case managers work with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse problems and other personal challenges. We serve our clients by assisting them in any way that can improve their quality of life. This often includes connecting them with community resources, advocating for them or assisting them in any biopsychosocial need.
